That's probably a good point. I have a certain amount of faith in the resilience of the terminology though and suspect that when this particular political moment settles down we'll have simply redefined these terms globally.
For Moldova, what I really mean to stress isn't that the terms aren't descriptive, more that they are used to mean the opposite of their traditional meaning. I remember when I first looked up Voronin's Communists on Wikipedia back in 2012 - I was shocked to see them described as a "center-right" party. Its the kinda "opposite day" nature of it all that's particularly confusing.
I think that classifying parties as left or right is no longer useful anywhere, not just in Moldova...
