The reunification item was VERY interesting!

I'd expect young people to be more Europe leaning, which suggests that the real number might be higher...

That was my instinct as well. My gut reaction was also that women would be more likely to support reunification... but that's just based on Moldova polling cross tabs about EU vs Russia support. I haven't seen any such breakdown in Transnistria so I chose not to speculate in the article.

One other thing - their information environment is very controlled. Such high support in those conditions implies to me that it could go a lot higher if there was a real dialog about it.

YES! In a controlled info environment, this is truly remarkable.

I wonder what they think of their leaders? (That would seem impossible to poll accurately). I thought when they cut the energy supplies, and tried to blame Sandu though, suggesting that she has more control over energy than Putin was not a good look.

They did poll the leadership question as well, the Moldovan president was 6 points higher in trust than the regional leadership and Moldova's parliament slightly higher than their supreme soviet. All the trust numbers were low with "Moldovan Presidency" highest at 25%. But just like all the other numbers the direction is more interesting - growing trust in Moldovan institutions and falling trust in regional ones.

Crazy things happening, saying this as a Galați native. I felt the explosion, but first I thought it was from Ukraine. It was only after I got up that I saw the real deal. Prayers for the family who got injured and also lost their apartment due to this. It's madness.

It's quite the reminder that we're all very close to this war. I traveled to Sulina a few years back and was surprised to find how close it felt there - with Ro-Alerts most nights. I think Budjak and the delta region is one of the least covered parts of the war.
