Good question, honestly I think the $150,000 in buried money indicates that this is not an honest man :) I think we have to take any of his stories with a grain of salt.
Just cause he is free we should not assume it's because his captors didn't want him to be free. I have a feeling there is going to be much more to the story of Judge Ceaus :)
