Holy Magoly. This is some intense stuff. You've done a great job of collecting the data and reporting on the system. I'm inclined to think this is a test case to see how the system works and what needs fixing to keep it going. Use in bigger countries is just around the corner. It's money laundering at a huge scale with no accountability. My biggest thought is that we will be forced to move into a whole new type of money system world-wide to protect against this kind of fraudulent behavior. Can we do that and survive? The stakes are so high. And yes, Karen, it reads like a James Bond thriller.

Hi Denise - yes it's quite a challenge and it's coming for bigger countries too. I don't know about a different monetary system, honestly we seem to be going the other way. USD dominance allows for a certain amount of world police actions - a role the US no longer seems suited to and one which the rest of the world is less interested in tolerating. Fragmentation seems more likely unfortunately.
